Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival

Alexandra Palace, Alexandra Palace Way, Wood Green, London, N22 7AY

Tube: Bounds Green Station

Dates: 01st - 02nd November 2019

Perched up high above North London with panoramic views across the city, Alexandra Palace is a great place to watch the spectacular display of fireworks set off in the grounds of the iconic building. But there's plenty more to do besides. Proving to be incredibly popular in previous years, the festival is going to be a two-day affair once again in 2019, with both days offering StrEATlife Village food and drink stalls, a bonfire, lasers, ice skating and a family friendly area with funfair rides as well as the fireworks, set to a soundtrack by Rob da Bank. The Bestival founder also plays a live set at the street food village along with Soul II Soul founder, Jazzie B. New for this year, a pagan-inspired fire-lighting ritual culminates in the lighting of a 30-foot effigy, designed by young people working with local artists, on top of the bonfire. There's also an adults-only German Bier Festival inside (at an extra cost), comedian Ed Night hosting a night of live music, cabaret and stand-up fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival at Cafe de Pally and Luna Cinema screenings in the newly renovated Victorian theatre.
