River Stage FestivalThe River Stage Festival is back at the National Theatre this summer for five weekends of free entertainment. There's an eclectic mix of theatre, drag, DJs, family fun, contemporary dance, outdoor cinema and live music including takeover weekends from East London's The Glory, HOME Manchester, Sadler's Wells and Nonclassical who turn classical music on its head. The festival launches on 13th July and includes a series of food and drink pop-ups covering craft beers, grilled cheese sandwiches by The Cheese Iron, Campfire Pizza for fresh pizzas from a vintage Citroen van, Melt ice creams and The Wine Box - serving organic wines on draft. Following its success last year, riverside cocktail bar Apothecary returns in 2018 and you can enjoy cocktails from the comfort of a deck chair at The Green Room Garden Bar. Whether you're at the National to see a show or just wondering along the Thames, this free festival adds a bit of fun to your weekend outing.

About National Theatre

Each year the three superb venues in the National Theatre put on a significant proportion of the world's best productions. From intimate character studies in the Dorfman Theatre, to grand spectacles in the Olivier, the National Theatre is the spiritual centre of the British theatrical tradition.
